Holy Crap Guys!

Ok guys I know this isn't about colubrids but I just had to tell you.Saturday morning I came home and there was a gateway box on my porch. So thinking that one of my friends found a turtle or something and left it for me I just casually opened the box and out shoots an american alligator so after climbing back off the roof and making sure I didn't mess myself. I secured the beast in my garage and as I calmed down my wife we headed inside to figure out what to do seeing as the alligator is a threatened species here. Then I called my herping buddies asking all of them if they left it. Well anyways knowbody knows where it came from so at that point I just started calling zoos to see if they could help me out and found a licensed herper that has a 7ft gator that took him for me but we are still trying to find out where he came from.So if that person reads this please don't do it again my wife still thinks i did it on purpose.The best part is that he is in great health and if everything works out he will be a part of the release program this year.Thanks for letting me share the story.
