Is it normal for my baby bearded Dragon to close his eyes while he is basking?

Mine does it, squwinty mostly. Im no beardy pro but i cant see anything wrong with doing so, unless it seems thiers an infection or disformed eyes lol.

thanks for the reply i was also wondering if it's nrmal for him to get tired around 8?he goes to sleep.i put his light on this morning at 8

My guy has had lights on/off same time every day, i guess its whatever time they get used to or whatever tiem it starts to cool off during the day.

As i said my guy has been on the same timer and tonight is the first time i seen him go to bed before lights out, hes under his rock alseept, but that could be becuase yesterday i changed the bulb becuase the basking area wasent reaching hot enouch temps, and now its about 112 and he could be cooling off.

just wait till you see him do he bug eye!
they will bulge their eyes so much that you will swear they are going to pop out. Its scary if you dont know about it. I have been told they do it to lossen the skin around their eyes to prepare for shedding.

As for lights, I ust time them to the sun. On at sunrise, off at sunset.

LOL I will agree the first time i seen that happen i couldn't belive it. Good thing i heard about it or it would have freaked me out.

It's completly normal for them to close their eyes. Mine do it quite often indoors and out. I even close my eyes when i go out side to lay out and soak up some rays (tanning), i think most people do.

yeah he did that s few days ago and i was frwaking out but every day he suprises me so i was not tooo freaked.
