Can't OD on natural UV-B, it's like OD'ing on too much sun. The UV-B stimulates their bodies to produce their own Vit D3. Once they're made a full supply of D3 they stop producing it uintil they've used some up (it's stored in the liver). Natural light will also improve their colour and the light intensity will make him more active (UV-A). All told, you can't help but get benefits from daily outings. One thing though, the exposure time needed to produce D3 in sunlight varies with the time of year. In Canada the sun is too low on the horizon from Oct to approx April to really be effective for D3 production (though it can still produce a sunburn, UV-C). Take advantage of the sunlight during the summer, and you probably will only have to do minimal D3 supplementation over the winter months.

i was also wondering about my new Dragon.he has those black spot things under him.is there something wrong or is it probably cause i jsut got yesturday?doesen't that mean he is stressed?are they gonna go away?
i am no expert in dragons, but from what i have read, when they get the black spots it means they are stressed. You said you just got him yesterday, i would give him some time to get used to his new environment, he is going to be stressed out at first until his gets used to his new surroundings ...
as for the uv light, i have heard and read in a few places that 20 min is the same as a full day under the bulb, but again this is only what i have read and i am not an expert

why is their ants in his cage? just take them out, they probably wont hurt him but they could stress him out
If they have no pesticides on them let him eat them
