Sand To Fill Gaps Between Slate?

Good idea? Bad idea? Doesn't matter idea?

I've got my enclosure filled with nice slate, but I want to fill the cracks in with sand or coco fiber or something. What kind of substrate should I use if I am going to do this?

as long as the cracks arent too big it should be fine.

I did the exact same thing using sand. It makes it look really nice. You could also use coconut fibre.

Yeah sand is USUALLY only a problem when geckos will go for their prey and get a mouthful of sand in the process

I left mine. How big are these cracks?? with sand you run risk of impaction(as usual) and it will probably get messy.
