View Full Version : New market expo
Just got home. It was kinda weak. I was shocked when I got there at 1pm and the place was empty. I was also shocked to see that some of the vendors didn't show, or had left by the time I got there( THE MONITOR SPOT!!!! espicially when I wanted to pick-up a temp gun!!!!!) everyone had great deals on though because of it. When I left at 2 I was the winning bid for the beardie from ICULIZARD in the silent auction. If I won that will be a pretty sweet deal, I bid $100, for any morph. gonna get me a nice and bright orange crush, or hypo, or sandfire/blood. not sure yet. Definatly well worth it.
got to talk to a bunch of people, I had to mention to Meghan from ICU that I was the winning bid(at the time) just so she knew :) . Tim from Capital dragons, he has some very nice red dragons, I wouldn't of complained if he was in the auction too. and Sam from ReptileKings. AMAZING leo's. Sorry man, if I just hadn't bought 2 albino's I would have definatly taken that Hypo-tang. maybe next year when you have your Tang-albino's.
Saw some cool looking Helmuted gecko, which I might get in the future. Pictus are really cool too. Can't decide what the next addition will be....
If anyone was there at the end and know's who won the silent auction, let me know. thanks
Dan
The show might have been small, and not what vendors hoped, but for me as a buyer I thought it was a nice change from the normal big TO show.
You could walk around without bumping into people from all sides, you could actually take time and look at tables, you could even GET to the tables! :P
While this was crappy for the sellers I am sure, since it was a low turn out, it was nice to be able to breath and look at herps for once.
Although, I am looking forward to the next PCPC show!!!! :)

I had a great time at the show, finally a chance to chat to the vendors. I hope it continues.

i'm not complaining...i'll agree that the crowd was rather weak, but i got more than i had intended, got me a Blizz leo, a anery kenyan, and this bad @$$ Dragon, from Tim, and Capital Dragons...(Sorry Tim i couldn't buy more...)

Well I just got home 9:15pm. I was up at 3am to drive from Ottawa to Newmarket. So needless to say I’m burnt! The show was ok. But there was hardly anyone there. For most of the day there were more vendors than there were people walking around. But it was a GREAT chance to talk to people and it was nice to meet some of the other vendors.
Tim from Capital dragons, he has some very nice red dragons, I wouldn't of complained if he was in the auction too.
I told the organizer that I wanted to give 50$ towards any of my stock for the auction but by 1pm I hadn’t sold a dragon! (I think I wasn’t alone on that one) I had to drive from Ottawa and I just couldn’t afford to loose money and all that time to make it to the show. But I really wanted to help the rescue.
Near the end of the day people were auctioning off stuff and some one auctioned off a baby bearded dragon for 2$! I’m sorry but I think there is something wrong with that…
Any way I need some sleep but I had a great time talking about what I love, sales or no sales. And that just means that there will be more killer dragons for the Sept 12 pcpc in T.O. and the TARS show Sept 25-26th in Calgary.

We had a great time and want to thank Nadia for all her hard work in setting up the show!
We do know who won our silent auction (winner receiving a baby bearded dragon of their choice, any morph). We won't give away the secret but Nadia will be contacting you shortly!!

Great meeting you there Dan! Finally can put a face to a name on these forums. We did end up selling both those hypo tangs to Reptile Oasis, they were very happy with their purchase, and then got home, had many emails, sold a UG line to a happy customer in Manitoba, Winnipeg. So it was a great weekend. Tang Albinos will be a hot hot hot item for next year, lot of great feeback regarding them, can't wait! :) We let some people hold our tang albino stud at the show :)
The show was rather slow, but nontheless it was great! We met tons of great vendors, such as Tim from Capital Dragons, what a great setup and a great guy! Simon and his brother from Extreme Snakes, they're great brothers, very funny. :)
Reptile Oasis as always are extremely nice and friendly, Megan from ICULIZARD, so nice, and what a great setup as well! and the list goes on and on.
So in that sense it was a great opportunity for us to meet lots of people.
There were a lot of kids there though, again people thinking it was more of a "zoo" than a reptile expo with vendors coming from all parts and from hours and hours away, which would've liked to sell something.
It was a first time show, so it will only get better.
Ya, there were quite a few vendors that didn't show, made it look bare in there. It would've been nice if they emailed Nadia, so she could've moved things around ahead of time, helping in it not look so bare...
Great show overall though, and great meeting a lot of you! :)
See you at the pcpc show!

So what could be done to get a bigger crowd next time I wonder?
and on that note when will the next show be ?

I am not sure why they didn't go around to the major semi local forums and announce it with a thread??? I would have posted at queensnake canada, ssnakess.com, among many others. Just to get the word out there. I didn't see any such posting.

I didn't hear about it till the middle of this week. I also think it was to close to the Toronto Expo, 2 shows in 2 weeks is too close together (especially since the vendors are the same).

I had a good time, it was nice to meet so many forum people. Sold all my amelanistic Fat Tails as well.... ahhh, to other breeders... makes me nervous! LOL They'll be hot on my tail next year!:D The baby beardie normal started at $2.... um, and, ah..seems i brought it home for $20. I am more than a little annoyed at the vendors who didn't show, and didn't even have the courtesy to notify Nadia... who turned down several prospective vendors because the tables were completely booked. Next time Nadia, get the tables paid in full up front!
Much less stress at this show, i'm sure it will grow given a little time:)
Linda
Marisa: there has been a banner on here for a couple months, and not too long ago someone posted a thread in the General box. There was also a banner on reptilerescue.on.ca for quite some time.
Just must have missed it.
on another note.... ANYONE know who won the silent auction since Meghan won't spill the beans??

Went to the show to pick up some stuff. :D
Found it to be "slow" but it was very nice being able to stop and talk to the breeders without feeling like i'm in the way.
Hopefully it will continue. I might just need to get a table at the next show :)

Forgot to add that Mark from Northern Gecko definently brought some humor and laughter into the show, with his auctioning off of some vendors' reptiles. He was quite the funny character as always at this and other shows! He has no limits. lol

Good show. However I was not impressed with the auction. I believe the money was going to reptile rescue? and they allowed a burm to go on the auction? Isn’t this in there top 3-4 problem animal? The bearded dragon went for too little. In fact a lot of the vendors got pretty upset when this auction started. I'm not superised some vendors didn't show up. for a couple reasons that I will keep to myself.
Auctioning off live animals is wrong to do. Because I am not saying that it will, but most likely is going to end up in the hands of an impulse buyer and will soon die.
Another However! It was a first show and always room for improvement. Auction I would not do again or a lot of vendors won’t show, more advertising with signs on the streets, post on all the Canadian public forums. Not just on the reptile rescue site.
My two cents
Jordan
I don't recall seeing a banner here on ssnakess.com.. You would think if it was in the rotation, it would have been spotted atleast once in the thousands of times i've visited the site leading up to the show.. I agree with Jordan, some signs outside of the building and in and around Newmarket would have brought many more people through the doors. But, like everyone is saying, it was the first show, so now you take all this feedback and use it to make the next one better..
Definatly down with the auctions...

the new market show was pretty fun actaully got a chance to talk to some of the other vendors. i picked up a nice rose hair from jordan thanx dude and i got a pink toe trantula from dominic :)
the auction think ..not the best idea!
~NESSY~ :P
I agree with Matt_K....this is one of the only forums I visit, so I log on quite a few times per day. I have never ever seen one banner about a Newmarket Reptile show here. Nor did I see any posting. I also could not find any posting notifying people of the show using the search function from the organizers....some members mentioned it but an organizer should have posted a couple times before the date. These are things the organizers will have to do next time. When a PCPC show is coming about, you see Grant has posting a couple times almost everywhere to remind people of the date, the vendors list, etc.
I hope they do keep these certain things in mind, because I had a good time and I would love to see a successful show in Newmarket as not everyone can get down to Mississuaga.
Marisa
ya, I agree, more external advertising would have helped. When you get to a PCPC show you can't miss that thing :)
When I got there I couldn't tell if I was in the right place or not.
I think the silent auctions were great. Money went to a good cause. The vendors had already accepted they were giving away the product, so what does the price matter.
I agree though, a live aution at something that small is probably a waste. There wasn't nearly enough buyers for it to be sucessful at all.
I'm sure the next one will be better.
I think the silent auctions were great. Money went to a good cause. The vendors had already accepted they were giving away the product, so what does the price matter.
No one is complaining about the Silent Auction.. The complaints are about the people with the mic walking up to tables asking if anyone wanted to auction off stuff.. Ball Python's being auctioned off for $30 when you have some breeders there that produce Balls every year is a huge kick in their face.. Same goes for the Beardie being auctioned off when you have some Canada's top Beardie Breeders with tables at the show, it's a kick in their face.. And a burm being auctioned off?? Of all snakes, a Burm??? You honestly can't think that's a good idea, can you??? The Auctions never should have taken place unless all the vendor's agree'd on it.
Im not sure if the money from the above auctions went to 'a good cause' but if it did, they're gonna need it in a few months when whoever won that Burm realizes what they've gotten themselves into..

The "Silent" Auction's proceeds went towards Reptile Rescue, Canada. I however was talking about the spur of the moment auction that was going on with the microphone in the hall, and the animals that were being sold there were small inexpensive ones. The beardie was originally priced at $35 at the vendors table, and sold for $20. Not bad, if you think that it helped them with a sale, so what they missed out on $15.
The other two items were small items as well, i'm not talking about them auctioning off a huge iguana or something.
It brought some humor and it was funny. Simple as that.
As for advertising yes, their could have been more. Again it was the first show for them up here, and it didn't do too terrible. Heck many vendors sold more there than the pcpc show, so it wasn't too bad. Hopefully next year will be better for them.
I'm still surprised at the many vendors that just decided not to show up without letting her know...rather rude I'd say....hmmm..

Just read your latest post Matt, didn't know a burm was auctioned off, must've missed that one. The ones i did see being auctioned was a small young beardie, and two other small things. Missed the burm i guess...ya that wasn't a good idea, totally agree on that.
The Silent Auction bid on the tank combos is honestly going to a great cause. Candy from Reptile Rescue, Canada has helped find tons of homes for reptiles that needed them, she's been doing really well, and this money will help her out some in continuing to do so. This was an absolute great idea. No doubt about that.
-Sam
If the profits were going to a rescue, then why in gods name would a Burmese be auctioned? How ironic and dumb is that? I am sorry but please don't beg for donations, then auction off a burm. That's ridiculous.
Another thing I'd like to mention. People seem to be saying "Oh poor Nadia vendors didn't show, they should have told her"
How about she should have not put vendors on a list when those vendors specifically said they were not showing, or even had no idea they were on the list? I know for a fact this happened with a few vendors. It's not up to the organizers to make their list look better before confirming with vendors. I am sure a few DID confirm and not show, but I know for a fact a few specifically said no, and were left on the list.

The profits from the SILENT auction went to RR.... not the live auction in the hall itself... i belive the sale money from those animals went directly to the contributor of the reptile itself... but i could stand corrected...
Well that would make more sense. I hope that is the way it was.
Marisa
oh, I missed that part, you are right, going around and just "auctioning off" what they can doesn't sound like the best idea. totally agree. I don't know much about Bermese, but don't they grow to like 15ft??? I sure hope whoever got that realized what they were getting in to.

06-21-04, 03:54 PM
Marisa, if you read my post correctly and with more attention you'd realize that the SILENT auction's proceeds went to Reptile Rescue, Canada, and not the auction that was going on in the HALL.
You seem very angry about the whole show, try to relax. I'm sure nobody cares anymore regarding the vendors that didn't show. That's their problem. Let's get on with our lives already.

I understand where Marisa is coming from in all of this.. I have seen a few times it mentioned that the vendors that didn't show, could have let so and so know, so that they could have been more prepaired.. When i first saw the vendors list, i spoke to a couple of the mentioned vendors who in turn told me that they weren't doing the show and didn't know why their names were on the list.. I don't think Marisa is speaking out of anger..
Reptile Kings
06-21-04, 04:22 PM
I don't doubt that at all, that some vendors' names weren't taken off the list even though they clarified that they weren't going, they should've been taken off the list...it just seemed she was angry that's all, that's how i took it. Maybe I was mistaken... I just know how much trouble Nadia went into getting this show together, and for all these negative posts to come out of it is a shame really, and not called for in my opinion.
I really liked the show, met tons of great people, and for me that's loads of fun.
I'm sure it'll get better next year.

Haha, you obviously don't know Marisa very well then, she just likes to hear herself speak.. I'll admit, i expected better, but looking back on it now, it was a first time show, so i shoudlnt have expected to much more.. Our table didn't do too great, a lot of window shoppers and a lot of questions, but atleast we got to talk about what we were there for .. And i also met a few new people that i hadn't spoken to before, so it wasn't a complete loss..
Angry? LOL You must be joking. I spoke truth not anger. I am sure your thoughts are true as well and they are an opinion just like mine. I just added another side to the replies. Plain and simple.

But you're right, definently not a total loss, met lots of great people. I think both shows (Pcpc, and Newmarket) were really dead, most likely lots of people were away at cottages/vacation. September show should be phenomenal though. :D

Some of the vendors didn't show up because they didn't fully agree to coming. thats why they didn't go. before the show i talked to a few people who said they didn;'t want to go, yet there names were still on the list. so you can not be mad at any vendors for that.

Well, for a first show, I thought it went pretty well. We did alright for sales, though a good chunk of it was to other vendors. Definitely more promotion needed, and directional signage on the nearby streets. I was looking for it and missed it, and apparently so did others. It didn't help that 'Doug Duncan Drive' seems to be a fairly new name for the street. My map books have it as 'Civic Centre Drive' or something similar, and they're only a couple of years old.
Also, though I regularly check forums here at ssnakess.com, I did not know about the show until the PCPC expo. If it is a public reptile event in southcentral Ontario and I don't know about it, then it hasn't been promoted well enough!!!
We'd do it again. I think there is tremendous potential there to reach a bunch of people who aren't 'in the hobby' already. That should translate into people needing to buy stuff.

About the burm being auctioned off...it was basically between 2 people and they knew it...one was a vendor and the other was holding 8 snakes he just bought so both knew what they were doing.
As for some people actually getting mad at mark for auctioning, from what i understand people thought HE was getting something out of it, and this is totally false. He was just being asked to do it, and he figured hey no one is really selling to much (just my assumption).
And that stupid burm bit me lol but yea what im saying is we would have known not to sell to a little kid or anything..plus their was no one their to even sell it to other then vendors who already know how big this things going to get.
If their is an impulse buyer who wants a burm, hes going to get it for etierh 100 or 50 and still realize he ended up with a big arse snake. Maybe if it was sold for a dollar, anyone would throw it in and take it, but 50 is somewhat of a decision to make.
Anyway i liked the show..very slow..but met a bunch of people and im slowly making my way into the reptile crowd lol

Whether the person knew what they were bidding on or not, a BURM should have NEVER been auctioned off, especially at a show that's being sponserd by Reptile Rescue... As for him being asked to do it.. I saw him and a couple other's from that table walking around asking if they wanted to auction off stuff, they even asked us...
I think if you go back and read all the posts in this thread, you will see that that is not the reason people were getting mad at the auctions.. It was actually pretty funny to see vendors start packing up when the auctions were going on...

Sam,
Oh so you think that me and my brother is a little clown and think that we are funny now.....LOL....j/k.
It was great meeting you man~! Your leos looked great! If I were really getting out of the leos, I might have gotten something off you. They were really pretty in my opinion and it kind of surprised me that you didn't get to sell that much.
I do agree that some vendors not showing up made the show a little bare......it would be better if I had a better table....cause basically I was at the corner and didn't really have much space in putting my things out....no one would have walked to the corner of my table....
But overall speaking it was a great show. Got to meet a lot of vendors and see a lot of 'old' vendors. The best part was talking to them. Talking to Sam, Rob, the Gillards (who sat right beside us) and other vendors were just great!! Brings in a lot of fun and time went by faster talking with herp people...
This was the first show, so it could be better. I bet that even the first pcpc show wasn't perfect or the turn out rate wasn't superb. There are always room for imporvement. I think that this show's has some basic things to 'change'. IMHO 1) Get more publicized, as we can see from these posts not a lot of people knew about this show. 2) Better location (at least with the right direction signs...as mentioned before it was quite hard finding the place (especially for people who weren't from that area....I missed it for sure....) 3) I too thought that the auction thing wasn't that good of an idea. I know that would get a few sales out....but to be honest...its nothing much of a different than ruining the market price. A lot of vendors drove a long way to the show...hoping to do a few sales that would at least cover the gas money and the table money....but with others auctioning things away it is pretty hard to sale animals out. Also the mic was really loud.....I was trying to talk to the vendor next to me....and we had a hard time trying to talk over the mic....so I wasn't that happy with the auction thing either.
But all in all, I thought that it was a great show (even though I didn't do well...).
I would say "Give yourself a pat on the back Nadia" Good job trying to make a good show~~
I wish that I could have gone, I live really close. I had something important to do that day. I knew about the show months ago, I'm surprised that most people didn't see the banner. I saw ads and such. Someone posted about it here as well. I really hope that there is another in the future.

I guess you're not the only one that's surprised Simon..lol...I guess high quality leopard geckos don't have much of a market here in Canada, that's why we're quickly working on being able to ship worldwide within a few short weeks-couple months.
I find that not many Canadians tend to support the higher end Canadian reptile breeders, and will still look for the "same" stuff from the States...which is fine i guess.
It was great meeting you though buddy, as I mentioned earlier, and its great to know how close and friendly the reptile community really is.

That is the ONLY way to make money in Canada. If you're gonna wait for Canadian sales for anything hi-end, you'll be waiting a LONG LONG time. You are making a very smart move to be able to ship internationally. You WON'T regret it, trust me. :D

WHO'S SNAKE YOU CALLING STUPID? lol!! so you where the dude with the sick ball python eh? i wanted that thing bad! oh well... anyways, I got the burm and knew damn well what i was getting myself into.. i have many snakes... i was interested in getting one actually before the auction came on and when it did, i knew it was my mine! hehe... anyways, the show was great in the sense that i met lots of reptile peeps and vendors, many of whom where real chill and funny... out of ALL my friends, i'm the only one into reptiles and my boy that came with me (the other bald dude) just came cause i needed a ride and to chill, no real interest in herps... most my friends are into completely different scenes.. i also didn't mind the auctions and the dude who was on the mic (real jokes by the way!) wasn't making any profit what so ever.. if your reading this, dude on the mic, i want some cresties! i think the auctions made it fun... i agree it was a kick in the face to those who breed things like the ones being sold like crazy but that's life... i'm also slowly creeping into the reptile community and one day i'll be running it! haha.. just playing.... or am i?:medwierd: lol... naw, seriously, it was straight jokes at the expo and i had a lot of fun... those are my 2 favorite things, fun and reptiles! well, i forgot one more, mami's :D... i swear that burm i got is the meanest thing i've ever seen in my life! (worse then any of the 8-9 ATB's i've owned!) the thing starts striking left and right while i'm at the other end of the room... it has a respatory infection or something but i'm in the process of curing it and it seems to be getting better, if not, off to the vet i go (for free, hehe).. i think it's a cold of sorts... anyways, it was great meeting all the vendors there and i hope to see you all again...
ps. bartman, you now have a few scars to remember me by for not selling me that ball python! :hammer:

also, i mentioned i had the burm so people will relax and not worry about the animal... i love my herps and spoil them so don't worry... (turns head to reptile rack with 5 foot snakes crammed into small rubbermaids and snickers) lol.. just playing.. i have a whole room dedicated to my many pets... alright, enough with the jokes.. time to be serious.. also, i wanted to mention that the burm did not have this "cold" when i got it and seemed to have got it later that day or the day after as that's when i noticed it.. the dude that sold it to me was chill and a responsible breeder... i need sleep...

Personally, whether auctioned or not, I don't like the idea of baby burms being sold at any show, especially one sponsored by reptile rescue! Why not baby green iguanas, too, just to make it complete???
I was quite surprised to see baby burms and retics there. Does anyone have any idea what Newmarket's by-laws are?

i have no idea what the by laws are but at least now you know the burm went to good hands, wether right or wrong that it was auctioned, so no more stressing... i personally couldn't care less because i got me a burm that i'm going to care for until it's a couple feet and then sell to my buddy who's been looking for one for a while now, it's been aranged... for now, i get to keep it and go thru the fun of taming the thing... there's been too much bickering about the expo when in fact it's the first time and i bet the second will be a lot better... still, though, i think the auctions made it fun.. it gave it a twist...

Ok everyone just so everyone is straight about the Silent auction and the auction that went on with the live animals. The proceeds for the Silent auction did go to Reptile Rescue. The live animal auction did not. In my defence I left the room for 5 miniutes and came back, found out that it was going on and put a stop to it. Unfortunatly not before those animals were sold.
I would like to thank everyone for their comments and concerns. Every bit of feedback will help me give everyone a better show next year.
I also want to address the vendors list for Marisa. I did not pad the list, the people that didn't come had in fact confirmed last year. I tried to contact them again closer to the show and for whatever reason did not receive another confirmation. I didn't want to have their names removed just in case they showed. I did know that their was a problem with my e-mail and some vendors could not contact me. I was not made aware of the problem until the day of the show so it was no ones fault. This has been a learning experence for me, it was the first show I had ever done. I have learned alot from it and will try my best to fix the things that need fixing.
Thanks agian for your comments;

ROFLMAO!!! Too funny!
On another note, I have no idea why everybody is stressing over the Newmarket Expo!!?? Relax! Breathe in... and out...everything will be okay. It's done and over with. No need to bash the organizers on how "terrible" the show was. The organizers would have to be absolutely CRAZY to put on another show next year knowing there's so many negative and unsupportive people out there. It's soooo sad in my opinion and again very UNCALLED for. For a first time show it did well. That's it that's all. Some of you people need to be more understanding and realize that it does take a lot to schedule an event like this. I just feel bad for the organizers having to read this god awful thread! We're a small "reptile" community in Canada, and support is needed more than negativity to help this community grow.
I'm just shocked at some of the comments made here, and the ongoing comments regarding the Burm and the auction in the hall, what's done is done, and it wasn't nearly as bad as some are making it out to be, my goodness!
A lot of us DID have fun, talking to many people and vendors, in my opinion it was a success because of it. Success doesn't only mean how many sales you had...it can also mean how many GREAT people you met. It was a slow month for BOTH shows, people need to realize this and get on with their lives.
Just my two cents.

k Nadia, I think we're missing one little bit of info that's inportant to me at least... who won the silent auction for ICULIZARD??? At least tell me if I didn't.... that way I can put my phone down for now.

Personally I had a good time. We didn't get any sales, but got to meet some old and new friends. Wish we could have stayed to the end, but I was sick and the drive back to Windsor was NOT fun. Our day started at 2 am with us chasing a baby leo all over the reptile room, then the drive to Newmarket. It was our first show as vendors, but we will definitely be there again next year if Nadia is willing to put one on again.
Considering it was the first one, I think it went well. Live and learn... right. I'm sure some things will be different at the next one and remember... we all love our reptiles and if we support each other this could be just one more annual event for us to all get together at. :) Looking forward to next year Nadia and I for one think you did a good job organizing this entire thing. Maybe if everyone with complaints helped out it would be even better next year.

I thought the show was great for a first time event. I've been to other shows that have been established and not seen as many people as we did at this one. Got to meet tons of people, which is always nice....except that Simon guy! I think all the suggestions have pretty much been covered, and it can only get better from here.
I'll be attending the next Newmarket show.

Baha! Tell me about it Jeff! Last time I sit beside you!lol. My daughter is one happy little girl though, and I have to say I'm in love with our little Jeffery, the corn snake.
Just for laughs I didn't realize who you were when I bought the snake and we named it before I found out. lol. Jenny seemed to think it was pretty cute. My daughter named her milk 'Sweetie' and has it in her room. Hubby wont go near her room now. lol.
Thanks for the wonderful snakes. I'll post pics later.

I bought more than I sold but that didn't take much since I only sold a couple cage decos. lol. But I had a great time, sat between two great venders and chatted with a few new people. My daughter came with me to this show and she had a blast! She is almost 10. She bought, well I bought, her first snake. Good thing she's a daddy's little girl cuz he is terrified of snakes and she had to call him and beg him for it. lol. She absolutely loves her new pet and sweetie is great with her as well! Jeff, are you sure you packed the right snake? lol.
I was really tempted with Linda's amels but had to be practicle. I spent so much on the expo and went home broke. But it was fun and a great day out. Even though I was sick most of the day. Main thing was that my daughter had a blast and was able to walk aroung without me worrying about where she was at cuz I could see her at all times. lol.
I was asked about auctioning off something as well and I personally thought it was a silly idea, but the silent auction was a good think, I think.
I also got a really nice female (or so we hope) crestie from Hilde and hope she likes my male. Just found out his is a proven boy cuz my girl laid 2 eggs yesterday that was with him. What was I thinking. lol, j/k Hilde, I know he went to a good home and I didn't need any more males. ;)
I think Nadia worked hard to bring this show together and some people expected too much after the pcpc shows, because they are so big and well known. I do agree that there should have been more signs and more advertising but I do know she had it in the local paper as well as a couple forums. I hope it is better next time if there is a next time.
And I can't wait for the next pcpc show. It a long drive for me but having the day off and spending it around all those herps is so worth it! lol.
well, until then...
I got it, WOOOHOOOO!!! (I will shut up now about the silent auction ;) )
