i just got my new baby dragon Rufus and the vendor people sold me vitamins that expired in Dec.--Are they ripping me off or can i use them?

Expiry dates are just suggestions of when the vitamins start losing their potency. It doesn't mean at midnight that day they are useless, but they won't be at their peak performance after that. Since we're talking 6 months after the expirey date, I'd say the vitamins are all but useless, or close to it. You have no idea which ones, if any are still good in that mix. I'd say pitch them and get fresh ones. My preference is not to use any vitamins that have expired even though it might still be good, I even pitch anything about a month before the date. Minerals don't degrade, they're good for life, though it's still better to get a good fresh supply instead of using 3 year old dust. (If you use Ca with Vit D3 then you have to consider the expirey date because of the vitamin content though the Ca is still good).
