Around midnight which is hour or so before my guys bedtime he getsd very very very hyper. Runs around his encloser, up and down around the glass, trys to climb it, yet all day he sits and basks (mostly). I feel odd turning his lights off and giving him a bedtime becuase it seems to be his most active area.

they like the night?

When i wake up in morning and his light goes on he is underneath his basking rock (also shelter)

Dunno what im really asking... but he gets so damn hyper!

Mine do the same thing but then again I am not around all day to notice if they get hyper or not.

Most the time they just bask untill you toss some food in there cages then they go SO crazy you would think they never get fed lol.

have you considered putting your lights on a timer, he might get used to his "bed time" if you are manually turning it on and off each day, then it might happen that the hour differs abit. How about trying to match the timer going on and off with the sun almost?

C.

Just my 2 cents.

I was turning it on and off myself but i did it the same time everyday, few days ago i got a timer and its set for the same time.

Just find it a sin to shut it off when he seems to be most active.

1:00am Offtime 6:00am On time

Need more sleep?

its 18 hours ontime... its recomended is 16 or less. Id wake him up later but this way he gets little bit of time to bask before i get up and feed him and go about my day. And putting him earlyer i feel bad cuase as i said its his most active.
