Today I was in the petshop, (some of you can probably guess the rest of my post) I was looking at the reptiles, I was amazed at the treatment of some of these animals! The worst was by far the leopard gecko, he was showing early signs of MBD. He was housed on thick wood chips as a substrate,(easily ingestible and too big to digest). He had a regenerated tail and was housed right next to a blue tounged skink, in plain sight from the leo's cage, he must have been super super super stressed, there were no hides, and there was a 14 inch lizard probably 5inches away with only a thin piece of glass separating them!! the little guy looked like he only had maybe 2-3 weeks left in him. It's terrible and people like who mistreat animals ESPECIALLY if their job is to sell people these animals deserve to be shot.
