light watts

i am gonna get the hood and light should i get the repti sun5.0 or 8.0?.i know u guys dont know exactly but as an estimate how much watts should i get for my basking bulb i tried a 75 watt but that was not enough it only got 85 degrees.-----my tank is 15g.

As suggested in the other thread, you will have to expiriment with different wattages to determine what is best for your specific situation. Move up to a 100w and see how that works out.
