All the snake movies suck. That's why I watch them, for a good giggle. I only wish I could catch one of those giant mutant rattlecobras. :)

They are stuped!!
You would think that at the very lest they would have a more accurate representation of the snakes, not some stuped computer generated snake that freaks people out.I find it upseting that thay use the fear of snakes or any other animal for that matter to make money.I like money to,but I would not be a part of that to make a buck

Thanks,Danny

I love the cheezyyyy B snake Horror flicks. My wife got me Snake Island on DVD for Christmas. Alot of venomous species are represented and generally accurately identified. OK, so a Milksnake killed someone, but most were properly identified and most were hot species. it was also the first movie I have seen that had Aspidilaps.

It is worth seeing just to watch the two cobras sing a duet of "We Hate Humans" ;)

I saw SSSSSSSSSSS years ago. Pretty bad movie but they gave it 3 stars,go figure. Strother Martin who plays, the mad herpetologist does a very cheesy imitation of Bill Haast. What has always amazed me about this movie .is that they actually mention an urutu. Another really bad 70's snake movie is "Stanley". Check that one out.

no the movie i love is REPTILES, it's so frikkin' funny! i love how the snakes (most cobras) always seem to hypnotize (sp?) people, that cracks me up...OH and how people die so fast, it's like the KINGSNAKE bites them and then it cuts away and 5 seconds later when someone finds them they are already dead and green!!LMFAO!!!

A while back i went to Blockbuster and rented every bad snake movie they had... there was one (i forget the title) where they substitude coastal carpets with the rattlesnakes when they are in the same shot as humans.. I gotta watch out for my coastals, a bite from them can apparently kill me in about 2.5 seconds :D

They are also fun to watch because i get to yell at the tv which the girlfriend finds amusing.

cheers,
Justin

I guess I am the only one that liked Anaconda. I mean I hate the negative few on snakes but I liked the movie as a movie, but then again my favorite movies are horrible horror movies. Suggestions are Frogs, Squirm, The Day of the Triphids, and almost anything else with a short one word title.

I love the B snake movies. The only thing I didn’t like about Anaconda was the snake did not look extremely realistic and the it moved more like a black racer then an anaconda. I have saw the previews for anacondas and let me tell you, in the scene where they are standing in waste deep water and the snake is swimming around them, that look just like a real conda. It appears they took video footage of the true snake and enhanced the size and added the people. Of course, once it popped out of the water, it didn’t look quite as good. =) I look forward to seeing it.

How big do Anaconda's get in reality SC Reptile?

At one time they recognized a length of 42 feet 6 inches for a specimen that was shot, measured and later came to and escaped. Lt Col Percy Fawcett of the Royal Artillery Regiment wrote in his journal of a snake they killed on the Rio Negro River in Brazil. Fawcett writes that the snake measured exactly 62', but no evidence was ever presented. To the best of my knowledge there are no contemporary accepted accounts of an anaconda exceeding 30’.

I think these movies are just hilarious for anybody knowledgeable about herps. If I recall correctely, in Boa vs. Python, the 90 ft. Boa breeds with the 70ft. Python and the BOA lays eggs! You would think that these people would do a little research before making these films.lol

Only two animal movies come to mind as scarry or well done and that is " JAWS" and " The Ghost and the Darkness" reptile related movies just really go off the " B " grade end perhaps made with b grade imports :) lol?

my favorite stupid snake movie is boa. not only is the boa venemous, but it lives under the ice in antarctica! apparently they took the the term "cold-blooded" a little too seriously.

I fortunately fell asleep at the beginning of boa vs python though I did "suffer" through both python movies. That was my choice. Has anyone seen the movie "Komodo"? It wasn't as bad as some of the others. I thought it was strange in Anaconda that it had developed vocal chords and why were they trolling for a 60 foot snake with a monkey? I think a large capybara would have been more appropriate. Oh, those pesky facts. What about The Attack of the Gila Monster from the 50"s (maybe early 60's). To my own embarrasment I am trying to collect all these movies.

Omg the 50's and 60's had so many lol. remember " Them" or some of the other horror movies. I still love War of the Worlds original radio broadcast and the effects it had on society at the time. Komodo was ok not near as stupid as many the others

Dont mean to sound like an old grandad or anything 9even though im 15) lol. But i personally dont agree with these crappy snake movies, because you know people/kids who watch them will think all snakes are evil. and probly kill them if they saw any....
anyone agree with me?
