Ok, I need help. I've had three clutches and none have hatched. All three were from the same female in her first year of breeding. The first with a PL male at the pet shop turned out infertile, brown and squishy, never hardened. The second from my 2 yr. old proven male got severe fungus and though they looked white and were plenty turgid at first ended up shriveling up like a raisin shortly after the fungus. The third are incubating now, from same male, and though they looked decent at first they are now shriveling up and are red! The first two were incubated on moss, the third in vermiculite. all in a homeade incubator at 84 degrees. Thanks for any help, I really want to get this figured out.

I use perlite to bake my eggs on. Never had any problems. If you candle your egg if it is fertile you will see a red round spot on the egg somewhere. If the eggs are unfertile you will see nothing in the egg at all. I also use a hovabator. not sure why exactly yours are not working out but hope this helps you :>

It could just be a matter of your female being new at the egg laying game. It's not unusual for first year breeders to have lots of problems with getting the eggs right.
Fungus normally only develops on dead eggs, but it can happen if there's too much humidity. Make sure there's no heavy condensation on the incubation container (just the slightest haze, no real 'drops' visible).
