I found the loose Burm !

I was on the net and ran downstairs to get a cup of coffee, and there he was at the foot of the stairs ! The cat was sniffing him and I was afraid that he was dead, but he seems ok but slow. He ate a field mouse while loose, I heard the thing screaming from my bathroom wall. Do you think he's sick from the mouse ? How can I tell if he's just resting now, or if he's sick ?

We've been chasing him for a week now. He always ran faster than we could grab. Has he just given up running to get water from me, or is he a sick snake ?

give him time to warm up and rehydrate. If he hunted last night I doubt anything is wrong with him. Considering most petstore mice are probably exposed to wild ones feeding on spilled stuff inside the store I doubt anything has made the snake sick.

I worry about what would happen if our larger burm escaped into the rest of the house... might lose a cat. I guess you're lucky all it ate is a mouse. You might want to take the following stool sample to the vet to see if it got worms or some other parasites.
