Im going to edmonton On the 15th of july and staying for a week, if you know of any good spots in the area for reptiles send me off an e-mail, any info would be greatly apreciated...thanks in advance...

LOL. If you mean you want to go "herping" outside, the best you'll find, and if your lucky, is a garter snake. Sorry to bring your hopes down. Edmonton is sort of "behind" in the herp hobby! We are slow, well, the city in general.

Agreed there is always the wagner marsh and we have a few other marshes around but not much to my knowledge. We are working on catching up but as for native herping you might find some frogs and toads and a personal favorite place is chickacoo (bad spelling) lake, they have eco trails there and it is wonderfull for hiking and such, used to catch lots of frogs out there as a kid.

If you have the time & transportation I would strongly recomend a side trip out to Drumheller, AB. One of the best areas for herping & also "Reptile World" & of course the world famous "Royal Tyrell Museum of Palentology" & all the other Dinosaur attractions. Probably a good 4 hour+ drive from EDM but well worth it especially for those from out of province. Mark
P.S. Calgarys a closer drive & has the Zoo, but Drums way better for Herps
