Puuuuuumped about the new ALBINO Boas man! Grant, you ROCK. Thanks! :-) :D
Pics do them NO justice (man I have to figure out how to photograph albino Boas. The flash goes CRAZY with them, and the first photo is with no flash. Too blue.)
Last one is in a shed. Thanx for looking! And thanx again Grant C. and Port Credit! Woo-hoo! :D

They're awesome Jeff!!! Myself and Nick (Chappy) were there when Grant was packing these two up and had a hand in picking them out.. So, glad you liked them :D It was tough picking two of the nicest, as they were all VERY nice... Awesome addition to your already oustanding collection.. congrats bro..

Jeff- were you suprised at how much more beautiful they are in person than even in the pics? I was blown away when my guy showed up yesterday! And yeah, taking pics is not so easy with an albino, I'm gonna hafta learn though!!!
I believe you put it best when you said: "Albinos ROCK!"

Ha ha thanx guys!! Matt, you ROCK! Woo-hoo!!!! Tony and jj, we'll get the camera-thing figured out. It has to do with flash and lighting. I know it! LOL!
Chewie, I have 2.8 100% hets, of which the males will become expendable. I have 1.2 albinos now. The albino females are going to be used in Snow and Sunglow projects, the albino male will be bred to the 100% het females. So that leaves the 100% het males as expendable. We'll see. I hate selling snakes that I've grown up from babies. But I may have to because I will be adding 8-12 more boas (hets and morphs) by September. Its going to get CROWDED.
Stupid addiction.............

Going to get! How the heck are you ever going to house all the neonates? Are you planing on moving out of a species all together or just rotating things?
Cheers,

They are just gorgeous - I really am jealous - albino or sunglow boas would be a dream snake, but not for those of us destined to end up in Saskatchewan. Glad to see you have some spectacular additions to your collection. If you ever decide all these boas will displace those fantastic hondos of yours, you know who will be standing in line!

Yeah, but Mary, I'd trade all my Boas to be able to go to Taylor Field every week to watch the Green and White play!! LOL! Sunglow Boas are my DREAM snake. For sure. And no, ha ha, the Hondos will replace my sock and underwear drawers before I ever get rid of them, LOL!! ;)
Ha ha Chewie, not really. Boas are EASY to keep. I'll have two rooms within the next season or 2. One for colubrids and one for boids. Space is getting to be a premium right now, but its not there yet. Also, I won't be producing 150 Jungles and 120+ Rainbows and 120+ Hondurans every year. Eventually, within the next 2 seasons, I'll whittle it down to 3 pairs of Jungles, 3 pairs of Rainbows, and then a rack or two of the Hondo morphs. Then the Boas, oh crap, and then the Womas, Dums, Hogs, Balls, monitors.............hmmm.....Chewie, you may be right, LOL! I think it may get a little crazier before it gets a little easier. Not to mention the "new" additions that will be coming within th next 6 weeks. Mum's the word, but a couple more species added to the list for sure. Yikes. I guess the dictionary wouldn't call me a hobbyist anymore?
Sorry to digress. No I won't stop breeding any of the species I have now. I chose to work with them because I LIKE to work with them. They may not generate the same income as say 2 racks of expensive Ball Pythons, but hey, money isn't everything. I LIKE keeping and working with snakes. Its fun. I wake up, and its fun. Every day is an adventure and I think I'd just miss a species too much if I got rid of one altogether. But if I did, Ball Pythons would be the first to go, LOL! Only thing is, the Ball Pythons ALONE can easily fund my addiction 2-4 fold! LOL! :D
Cheers guys!

Hey Jeff,
If the flash is separate from the camera, try bouncing the flash.
Angle the flash up at a 45 degree or more angle from the focal plane. Then put a piece of paper behind and above the flash, a rubber band is a good way to hold it in place. Bounce the flash off the piece of paper. It will give you a softer, more filling light, not quite as harsh.
A background with less contrast may assist in getting even lighting across the snake too.
Awesome creature :)

Thanx Cruciform. I was downstairs tonight and I constructed a little "photo chamber". White sheets all around, etc etc. We'll see how that goes. I've also found that covering my camera's flash with tissue paper helps. I'm going to wait until the one female sheds out, and I'll rattle off a few pictures to test the new setup.
Thanks guys!!
Kyle, man, its safe to say, its a ZOO around here. Heh heh.... ;)
You lucky, lucky man!!!! :(

Ha ha, thanx Dave. But remember, I've never made a snake purchase with "real" money, heh heh. Always just flipping the snake money back into the collection! Its the only way my man!!
Thanks again...........:D
