Last year I bred two normal corns and about 50% of the clutch hatched out anery... proving both parents het anery. That was a nice surprise... :)
This year I bred the same normal female to a different normal male and what do I find this morning....

Just goes to show that with corns, Normal X Normal often brings about a few nice surprises! ;) :p
I guess my normal female is het snow! :)
Like the song says: "<i>It goes to show you never can tell...</i>"
Too bad surprises like this don't happen with my Ball Pythons! :D

Excellent!! Just have to love corns - genetic suprises are great. I am so jealous - so far behind everyone else with my breedings this year - mine are still laying eggs and everyone else has hatchlings already.
Please post more pics - these guys look great!

Never know...with all the wc balls that are sold ( many thousands are imported in Canada each year from togo & ghana ) there must be some hets for something in the batch;) Something is gonna come out someday.
Same with boas, 2-3 salmon central american make it at least here in Montreal in the wc batches each year.
Good luck with your newborns;)

Cool pic Tim !
Are you sleeping in your snake room to be able to catch these pics ? Either that or great timing :)

There's nothing normal about corns these days. I've got two normals that are het for hypo, motley and lavender. Now that is going to be a fun clutch.
Congrats Tim,

Right on Tim!!! That's a great surprise. :) I'm hoping with all I have in me that I find out my Miami female, who I bred to my charcoal male, is het for charcoal. Or that they are both het for something even cooler. Ah, gotta love corns. :)
