Hey everyone,

I have a female leo that i expected to lay her eggs sometime next week after the show, but instead i found eggs TODAY in her moist hide!!!!!! I was unprepared for this, i am suppose to get my hova bator back at the show, but it looks like ill have to make do with wut i have right now. I do not have a submersible water heater, which really sux, i wanted to incubate em for males, but right now i can only get em at 82F!!! (im keeping them in a tupperwear on top of my freezer where the heat goes to). Would i be able to incubate them at 88F next week when i get my incubator back, or is it too late? Also, does anyone know what i can do to boost the temps up to 88F?

Thanks,
Ben

Set them up in a delicup type container with a secure lid. Then put it in a spot in the mom's enclosure where the temperature stays above 86F, probably around the hot spot from the UTH or heat lamp. Make sure you wedge it in securely so she can't tip it when she's moving around the container, maybe use rocks or wedge it against the wall with the hidebox, whatever you can do to keep it from tipping. That should keep the 'male' temps this first week. If you wait until after the show it might be too late already to get a good shot at males, since they've spent almost a week at 'female' temps.

hmmm, the only place in moms cage that stays above 86 is on top of her heat pad!! so should i put it over her heat pad?
