Had the kiddie pool filled up today, and took Promise out for a dip..... Boy does she ever love her swimming. I wish I coulda got a decent pic, but :( She'd swim around under water for a min, poke just her nose/mouth up, then swim some more. She told me when she wanted out by, climbing the side a bit instead of the usual nose peak out. It was pretty cool.
Anyone else find their BRB's love to swim???

If mine did, I would have no way on Earth how tell if they were liking it or not. Even though I've had thousands (easily), I could never perceive them "enjoying" something, if in fact they can "enjoy" things.

well, I can't read snake minds, but from the outward appearance, she did enjoy it ( like it/ whatever ). She explored, was relaxed, not stressed, etc. To me, I consider that enjoying it :)

That's cool. Hope she did.
But I can also not tell if my BRB's are relaxed or enjoying anything. I'm not saying that you yourself can't, but I do not have that ability. Nor do I practice that ability given that my idea of what a snake "likes" to do is probably far different than yours.
Happy and safe herping. Hope your snake doesn't get too stressed out.

I think it's great that your BRB loves to swim...personally I think if your really in touch with your animal wether it be a dog, cat, snake or rodent, you should be able to tell if they like or dislike certain things...my son is starting with corn snakes and his goal is to get BRB's! We are really excited about it. We have a small Zoo in our home the animals largly out number the people:-) I hope that he is able to find that special connection with his snakes that I think you have with yours. My oldest son has hamsters and gerbils and he's very quick to find out what each individual one likes and doesn't like as well as my baby girl has mini-rex bunnies and has that wonderful relationship with them...knowing that each one is different and deserves to be noted as such:-) Good luck and I'll have to keep the swimming in mind when my litte guy gets his BRB's:-)
