View Full Version : Surprise litter!!
Here's what I found yesterday, after having a gravid Scincella reevesii for 2mths.

Purchased the mom at the TARAS show from RonD (Thanks man!). She was probably gravid then but wasn't noticeable. A day later she seemed to have swelled all of a sudden.

Are they EVER cute!!!
Congrats.
Are they tame since they're on your finger or was that just a fluke?

WOW, they are so tiny!!! LOL! Congrats man!
Awesome, I'm glad you go bought those little guys. Now you can sell Katt a couple...lol.
lol Ron, dunno if she'll like em that tiny though. She says they look too fragile for her.
Hilde, getting the 2 to stay on my finger was pretty much a fluke as that was the first time me handling them. They are pretty skittish. Double that with the fact that they're almost as thin as a toothpick, makes it quite a struggle to pick one up. :)

Awww, too cute!! Congrats! :D
Ron, forget that!!! I thought the adults were babies and too small for me!!! Vanan can keep 'em!!!
what's the common name? They look a lot like northern alligator lizards.
Dave
Ron had them as Southern Skinks, but I doubt that means anything. Don't look like alligator lizards to me. Unless if you're looking at just the elongate body.
oh~!
those are so cute~!!
Congrats!

Hey Vanan! Sweet little guys! That's gotta be a nice thing to wake up to. I totally did not know that those guys were live bearers. But I didn't know any lizard was a live bearer, so there you go! Very cool.

Lowell, they're feeding on lobster (roach) nymphs. Greedy lil pigs they are. The food is like the size of their head, but they don't let that stop them. Hoping to pick up some pinheads just so they don't have to struggle so much for each mouthful. lol. It's fun watching them during feeding time. Tried a lil cat food but they didn't go for it. Probably cos the one nymph filled them up. :)
Thanks for your comments guys! I just wish y'all could see these things in person. They're microscopic!
Congrats! Those babies are just too cute! :p
