Hi All,
Now with Arachnomania on hiatus, where are you all ordering your scorpions from in Canada? Tarcan is great for spiders, but Martin does not normally carry other arachnids.
Thanks for any source info.

I went down to my local petstore and asked. A week later, and now they have some new scorpions, including one I really wanted, the H.spadix.
Good luck.

Hi
They only got in one, mislabelled as a Desert Hairy, haha, but they are asking $45 I think. I'm going back Friday to get it.

LoL, I hate the prices of Desert Hairies here, It's such a ripoff.

BTW, next week I will (should) be getting a few other various arthropods... trying it out and I will see if most of the people will be interested... stay tuned...

Lets see some millipedes!
Aidan
Millipedes are illegal in Canada, so I will not have any for sale... all my imports are legit that is one thing I am very strict on...

Ah okay then, I did not know. Is there any way you can get mantids or are they illegal as well?
Aidan
I am getting mantids for sure
They are carnivorous, they are accepted and legal in Canada...
What Agriculture Canada has problems with is all the herbivore arthropodes...

Tarcan, are you gonna update your price list soon and have a new special of the month?
Technically they are, but they are for sale everywhere indeed, just like hissing roaches...
Last time I talked with an agent of Agriculture Canada they were...

hey Aidan,
My friend just showed me his millipedes, and they gave birth to lots of squirming babies! I don't know what kind they are, I think just regular giant African blacks? If you want, I will find out what he wants for them. I can ship them to you.

Really? I would love some! I will also think about shipping the scorpions in a few weeks when they are old enough.

At my store we can get in a couple, I know we can usually get death stalkers, desert hairy's, maurus (sp?), tri-colour, black forest, tunisian fat-tails, and of course emperors. There are a couple others on my list, but I can't think of them off hand. We also have unidentified scarabs and some giant african red millipedes. We also had centipedes on the list, black ones with reddish orange legs, they were about 6-8 inches.
i'm really looking for a tailless whip scorpion if anyone knows where to find one.
thanks,
emilsmee

Aidan, I asked my friend about his baby millis...
and, err...
he said he 'got rid of them'.
There were too many, and he kept four for himself, and ditched the rest. I should have asked him sooner... sorry...
