Keeping males and females together?

Is it okay for me to keep an immature female IJCP (3,5-4ft) with a mature mare IJCP (4ft)? Or should I just play it safe and seperate them until next year?

Definitely keep them separated. Females can be seriously harmed if bred too early............

yeah your male will probably try to attempt to breed once she gets close to being fertile.... and that would be hazardous to her health. it'll be very stressful to her.
