!!!White Lip Pythons!!!

Hey all,
Have an amazing opportunity to pick up an adult breeding pair of white lip pythons. They look amazing! A bit of an attitude problem but I'm ok with that.
Just wondering... What should babies be sold for???? Just trying to get a general idea of their worth and how much potential this breeding project has.
I have had a hard time finding anyone who breeds this so I think this should be a great project.

I've been hell-bent on trying to find some young ones and been striking out all over. Are they black-phase or golden?

There is black, olive, and gold phases to take into consideration. The blacks are the most expensive. You'd have to look around and see what the American market is doing this year. Most Canadian prices have to kind of follow suit with them. (For example, a snake that is selling for $200 USD would probably sell for $250 CDN).

Keep an eye out for my classified posts. They are full grown adults ready to go and should be breeding this year. I believe they are golden phase. You have any idea what they should go for as babies? Just trying to get a general idea from multiple sources so that I can offer a good deal to the client but also be well compensated for my time and effort (this pair has a real attitude problem and I expect I'll be tagged more than once when I get them LOL)

Annette (Wrapped Up in Reptiles - see her forum in the breeder area of classified) has had success in breeding whitelips and I believe was selling them for about $300 as babies. Would likely be worth contacting her as a western Canadian source - she has some excellent animals.

Dave, before you go all haywire. White lips are NOT the easiest pythons to breed.
Oh they'll copulate and copulate, but NO EGGS.

Also, white lips are a bit choosy about their mates.

If and I surely hope you produce, you can expect to get around $300 for them.

I have to agree that just cause they are breeding size doesn't mean you will get eggs. Plus you have to wonder why someone is selling an adult pair of snakes without tring to breed them(as proven would be worth more).

As for them being aggressive just use hooks, they are not only there for HOT animals.

Just my thoughts.
