generally, what size does a female need to be before she is ready to breed? same question for males. i have a good idea, but i would like opinions from experts like we have here.

For males, they may breed as early as 400g, but most if not all males are producing sperm plugs by 600-800g. For females, a first time breeder at 1.2-2.5 years should weigh in at a minimum of 1500g, but the heavier the better chance of no slugs, and healthier eggs. The older the female gets, the more she should weigh. It's all about girth, and body fat.
