ball type?

I have a ball that has very unusual markings on him and I'm pretty sure it's not scaring but it might be and that's why I here.
He has bleached white spot's on him. The spot's are about the size of a dime and he has a few of them, none of the scale's are deformed at all, like normal scaring. If anyone know's what this might be please reply, your knowledge might put my mind at ease.

Unfortuantly most all white marks are indeed scaring. They don't have to be deformed looking, especially if they are older scars.

In either case, no one will be able to say without a photo.

It could also be a ringer, just a morph that has a white spot or two, hard to say w/o a pic

Some call them "Ringers", I've also been them called "Bullseyes". Marisa, you're incorrect in assuming that all white marks are scars. In any species of snake, scalation anomalies can occur.

Obviously. In the context of this post, and other posts like it, almost all white marks turn out to be scars.

You'd have to be blind not to have seen photos of genuine "pied" or other white marked animals genetic morphs or just freaks.

All the scar's on bp's I've seen usually heal back black with deformed scales. I've seen alot of bp's with scar's and I've never seen the scar''s actually heal back white. Almost all the scar's have been rodent bite scar's. Do burn scar's heal back white? What kind of scar's turn white when they heal? To me it kind of always looked like scaring but I've never seen any other bp's with white scar's, I bought him as an adult with no history and was just curious.

My friend hasn't got here with his digi cam yet, sorry.

Do you know of any picture's I can use double check with?

That's what mine look's like. I bred him this year with a female that almost looks axantic, she has little to no yellow pigment and looks grey beside all my other bp's. She laid 6 enormous egg's and all of them look amazing. The eggs are do to hatch out around the 18th of july. I also bred him to a 5ft normal and she has just went into her pre-lay shed. If it is actually bullseye will that trait be passed down?

I have one ball, Briseas that also has bout 6 or 7 scales that are whitish? They are obviously from an old injury. You should be able to tell if it is from an old injury or if it is a bullseye or ringer ball. Scars look very different.

And my female has a white spot that runs from her belly up a little, PLUS she seems to be a more (high) golden color.
Doesn't mean she's any special morph, just a prettier than normal bp. :)

Hard to say without a better pic, but that does look a lot like the "bullseye" pic that Matt posted. Perhaps there's Piebald in your future?

Definately doesn't look like a scar so maybe you are lucky!! Good luck, breed it and see is all you can do!

I did breed him this year and the female laid six eggs the bp egg picture in my gallery are the eggs from her. She has almost no yellow pigment what so ever.

i can say from personaly experiance that that is definatly NO scar. my bp had a very tramatic accedent where he lost a large chunck of skin {1.4"long and about .5" wide} they had to do extensive reconstruction and there is no "white scaling" just healed over black with deformed scales

Looks like you'll have some 'ringers' in your future, or not. Definitely no piebalds. Genetics are weird like that. Good luck though...

Bummer about no Piebalds... I was thinking that perhaps Ringers were piebald with just very little white on them.
