Morph's ---- Help Please

OK so I am kinda new to Leo Keeping. not new to herps or anything I understand the genetic side of it I just don't get some of these morphs.


OK so I have been looking at pics trying to make it so I can figure out what the different morphs mean but I am just not able to get some of them.

I understand the basic ones Albino, Blizzard, Snow, Tangerine, Stripe and ones like that.

But Like what makes a Leo Carrot tail, or hypo or super hypo, or Blazing Blizzard as apposed to just blizzard.

I don't wanna seem dumb but some of these don't look any different.

go to www.geckogenetics.com they have pics of all the different types of morphs........but to answer the ones on here.......carrot-tail is when the base of the tail to usually about a third or half of the way down the tail is orange in color.......hypo is a fancy word for reduced pattern on the body, super hypo means no pattern or spotting on the body, and blazing blizzard is a blizzard with red/pink eyes.....and not to confuse you, but as far as albino's go there are three different types, tremper, rainwater, and tremper giant........hope this helps!

Carrot tail refers to how much orange is at the base of the tail, 25% being the minimum.

Reduced pattern means less black spots on the body overall.

Hypo means less black spots on the body ( Some say 10-20 countable markings)and reduced head or tail spots.

Super-hypo means no body spots and some head and tail spots.

Blizzards are white/grey/creamish overall.
Blazing refers to an albino blizzard, which is the standard with albino eye coloration (very hard to produce because the two genes are highly incompatible).

Banana blizzard is a standard blizzard with a partial yellow coloration of the body.

Baldie is when there are NO spots on a leos head.

Patternless is a creamy yellow to bright yellow leo with a purplish head and tail.

Patternless albino is a bright yellow body, white/greyish head and tail with the albino eye coloration

Snows are purely white and black, no color what so ever.

Rainbows exhibit a variety of colors including tang, yellows, creams and lavender.

Jungles have broken body and tail patterns.

Stripes have stripes from about the base of the head through to the end of the tail, the more perfect the stripe the better, though it can be a somewhat broken body pattern as long as the tail is striped.
