This guy came to me from a friend in SC as a WC. It has never shed until Friday, so it looked like a typical muddy cotton. Needless to say, I was pleasantly suprised. Once he gets up to weight, I'll get some better pics since the flash washed out his colors a bit (how often can you say that about a cotton? ;) )

cottons are phenomenal, any chance its a hybrid or something. I've seen cotton x coppers and that produces some strange colours and patters?

I have seent he "Cottonheads" before (CopperheadxCottonmouth) and they look like a Cottonmouth with Copperhead coloration. He is pure Eastern Cottonmouth. Once I get him fattened up, I'll try to get some better pictures where you can really see his color. Normally, I would not breed Cottons because the babies are so hard to get rid of. But if I can find a nice green female, I should be able to find homes for the babies.

Now I just need a name for him. ;)
