It's so hard to get a good pic of these guys- they're so glossy that I never get any scale definition.

Black snakes are a royal pain to take good pictures of... lol. That one turned out pretty good though, he/she looks gorgeous! :)

Great photo - mexican blacks are such nice snakes. Great that you got a bit of tongue tip in the picture too - hard to catch those shots,
