View Full Version : Looking To Breed My Tremper/Bell Albino(female) Need Ideas
What I Meant To Say Is I Need Some ideas On What I should/Could Produce With My Albino however im not sure if its bell or tremper yet...any suggestions are welcomed
Breed it with a patty and get reg DH babies breed two DH leos together and I think that it every 50 eggs you should get a albi patty which are worth the time (ussually 300+)

Matt...explain me all those terms like:DH and patty...im pretty sure you that means paternless right???Yeah they look very nice at the moment i can get a leutistic adult(not sure if male or female) at a pet center...it has a regen tail...i couldve boughten it instead of my albino back in december...i recently saw it still there again this week its skin is real real dark and it looks like its lost some wait...hopefuly i can convince someone to give me the 119$ canadian to save it :(....but besides that what would a blizz(m) and an albino(f) give me??
$119? Holy crap thats an expensive Patty (patternless)!!!! I can get one for $60 sub-adult and 80-100 for an adult. DH means double het (heterongynys [cant spell] it is prenounced het-or-oji-nus) for example if you breed a albino with a patty then the babies will apear reg but they will have the genes for both albi and patty so if you breed two DH together you have a small chance of the two genes mixing when they do in this example you would get a patty albino.
Matt
BTW lucistic is not really the proper term its just for a "dress-up" the actual name is blizzard.
Also a albi and a blizz will give you DH for blizz and albi when you breed them you have the chance of hatching out the hardest morph to breed the blazzing blizzard.
aaah...i see...well here in quebec good leos are really and i mean really hard to come by...but then again if i were to order shipping prices would bring it to the same amount

If you can post pics I'm sure a few of us could tell you. Likely it is a tremper. I would suggest getting another albino so that you can breed them and get all albino babies. If you breed it to anything else you will get DH. Here's some examples of what you can produce by "mixed" breedings.
albino x blizzard
100% DH albino&blizzard babies
albino x patternless
100% DH albino&patternless babies
albino x albino
100% abino babies
If you do mixed breedings, the babies would likely produce the following, based on the DH babies from the previous breedings
100% DH albino&blizzard babies
6.25% WT
12.5% Het. albino,
6.25% Homozygous albino,
12.5% Het. blizzard,
25% Het. blizzard, Het. albino,
12.5% Het. blizzard, Homozygous albino,
6.25% Homozygous blizzard,
12.5% Homozygous blizzard, Het. albino,
6.25% Homozygous blizzard, Homozygous albino
100% DH albino&patternless babies
6.25% WT
12.5% Het. albino,
6.25% Homozygous albino,
12.5% Het. patternless,
25% Het. patternless, Het. albino,
12.5% Het. patternless, Homozygous albino,
6.25% Homozygous patternless,
12.5% Homozygous patternless, Het. albino,
6.25% Homozygous patternless, Homozygous albino
To clarify on the terms used above:
*WT means "without trait". The babies be normals.
*Het means heterozygous and means that the babies will look like normals, but will carry the traits of the parents.
*Homozygous means that the babies will look like the trait.
-So, if they are het albino, they will be normal and carry the albino gene.
-If they are homozygous albino they will be albino.
-If they are het albino and het patternless they will look normal, but carry both the albino and the patternless genes.
-If they are homozygous albino and het patternless they will be albino and will carry the patternless gene.
-If they are homozygous albino and homozygous patternless they will be both albino and patternless (hence patternless albinos)
You will get some fairly interesting babies that way, but it takes time. I would also like to mention that the "blizzard" is a true leucistic. When the patternless were first produced it got the label "leucistic" by default, since no one believed there would be any true white leos given that they are prone to the cream or yellow base color. Once the real thing was produced ( the blizzard) no one wanted to label them as being "luecistic" because of that whole mix-up. So, the first producer of the "true luecistic" went with the term blizzard lizard instead.:D

I just saw your photo thread and your albino is definately a tremper. I would suggest getting her a tremper mate:D And also, different albino strains are NOT compatible. The babies will end up being normals, het tremper and het whatever other strain.
So...i need to get a tremper male...hmmm ill try to find a breeder i got all mixed up with the breeding list you just gave...wowee overload lol...But anyways, would the tremper i need have to be a pure tremper???Like 100% Albino Tremper or ?????Also man...stuff here is WAAAY overpriced that albino cost me 169$ canadian!!!!!!!!!!!There Are like no good pet-stores or breeders in quebec so i got the albino...if anyone can tell me where to get a reasonable priced tremper around canada...(i think lllreptiles.com ships to canada im not sure if thier prices are canadian) but i do have albinos where i bought mine i can get but thier still expensive so yeah....
