Definitely not a king but a milk. Just from looks, my guesses would be amaura or annulata. Where was it collected if it's a wc.

I was thinking annulata (Mexican Milk) by the first pic too but the second makes me think something else maybe? Amaura (Louisiana MS) is close too from the other pics I just checked. ? Mark

Theres a slight resemblance to a red milk but it could be an intergrade of most anything. Can we see some more pics? What is its length and weight and where was it found?
Thanks

Definitely a milksnake, not a king... as for what kind though, I'll leave that up to the experts :)

I'd rule out syspila due to the low amount (or lack) of red on the face. Might have to resort to scale counts.
My guess would be a New Mexico, or Mexican Milksnake. But without band counts, where it was collected, a discreption of the belly, and possibly scale counts. It's impossible to correctly identify it.
Hmmm. Actually upon further inspecting of the pics, both pics show different snakes. The 2nd white band on each snake, differs in width. Or is that what your subject meant to say anyways. Ok, I feel stupid now.
