Hey all, I'm having issues connecting my heating pad to my rheostat. The rheostat is a Zoo Med Repti Temp (rated to 150 watts) and the heating pad is an Exoterra Heatwave (25 watt). The problem is that the plug for the heat pad will not completely go into the rheostat. It only plugs halfway in.
Is it supposed to be like this? If not, is there anything I can do about it?
Sounds to me like you should push harder, or turn your plug around and try again if it's polarized.

Oh my god, I feel like such a dumbass. I didn't want to push too hard for fear of breaking something........I ended up having to really really push on the damn thing to get it in there. Thanks!
No troubles. Glad I could be of assistance...

I have one of those...mine has the same problem.
Yeah they are crap....lol :p The ones I've tried had the same problem, in addition to which they did a horrible job of controlling the temps. They wouldn't offer an control other than full strength or off, and wouldn't do anything for larger wattages (100W).
