But it took TIIIIIME....
I figured everyone here could use the info, too..

First I thuroughly hosed it out..
Then I washed it inside and out with organic soap and water.
Then I hosed it again.
Let it dry and air out for 2 days.
Then, I sprayed it with NATURES MIRACLE pet orod remover
Then, I sealed the inside wood with a sealant and painted the outside.

Lots of work but the used cage saved me like 300 dollars!!

I will post pics tonight..
The cage was in nice shape.. 4 feet long, 2 deep and 2 wide..

It just lived in a reptile store so it ha absorbed the smell :(

if you put a bowl of kitty litter in there for a week or so that should help alot, strange i know but it should work, ive used it to "destink" other stuff... i know it might be too late seeing as how you said you got rid of the smell, im just saying it for other peeps who might have the same problem.....again, it SHOULD work.

The kitty litter probably contains baking soda. Very good for absorbing odours. Just get a dish of it and put it inside the cage for around 5 days.
