I've been told that my cordylus warreni is really a cordylus
mossambicus. Anyhow, he's in a 36"X18" tank on sand, with hides and a steady rock pile and some plastic plants. He's got a heat lamp, and a full spectrum flourescent tube. Also, a small water dish and a food dish. He hasn't eaten since I brought him home though. I've put in crickets, a mealworm, a waxworm, and some greens. I think the crickets atesome of the greens and that's it.

Any idea why he won't eat? I'm very concerned.

Do any of you care for these guys? Could you describe or send a pic of your set up? What do you feed?

Thanks!

I have never even seen one of these guys, but i know that you've recently aquired him correct? Its a possibilty that it is stressed and will not eat like almost all reptiles. Either give it some more time and food that you see it likes best, minimize handling to zero, and if your very concerened try taking it to a vet for a quick check up.

Hope he's ok!

Ya, I've given him just over a week to settle in, with no handling. I am just having an impossible time finding info on these guys, so I've gone with what care I could find for Cordylus in general, and am hoping it'll be ok.

Wish I could find others who keep these though! They are definitely beautiful animals! :)

Thanks!
