Farkus just finished shedding, and now about 24 hrs after she is chilling in her humid hide. she seems to be using it more than when she was in shed !?!? is it OK for me to let her keep the hide in there if she likes it?
thnx

That is WHY you keep the hide in there. Unless you're sadistic and enjoy taking things away from animals that enjoy them.
Ball Pythons, like 90% of snakes, are HIDING ANIMALS. That is, they hide. Its what they do. Its not unusual. Its not weird. Its expected. They hide most of their lives. Thus, proving the importance of a good, USEFUL hide for Ball Pythons.

I know they like to hide, and she has sufficient hiding places, the one in question is a HUMID HIDE, with damp sphag in it. Is it OK for me to leave it in there even though she is not in shed.
thanx

Just as long as its not SOAKING wet, yes, its fine. They enjoy hiding in dark, warm, humid places. Just like in West Africa. Ball Pythons enjoy a higher humidity than a LOT of people think.
