It was another gorgeous day in central Ontario. I took the opportunity to head up to Parry Sound to see if I could find any Massasauga's this early in the year - no dice... Still too cold.
However, the Grays and Peepers were out in full chorus and I also found the first 5-lined Skink of the year (an adult male in breeding condition). Since I have enough pics of skinks I decided not to pursue him, however, under the same rock I also found a Ringneck and a Garter (I did take a photo of this happy couple):

I also came across some interesting invertebrates.
First, this very fast spider (a predatory "jumping" spider I presume):

Second, this very large (and colourful) millipede:

Anyway, keeping the fingers crossed for a Rattler next time... A pretty good day though.
