I'm not sure which forum to post this, but since I'm in here...

Can anyone recommend a Thermo gun(looked at Rayteks so far), where to order one, and roughly what the price runs...?

This is definitely on my "Things to Get" list this summer.

Cheers

The temp guns are an essential for us - we got a Raytek from Scales - one without the laser pointer (didn't need that) for about $70 and it has been fantastic, but I don't know if they sell them any more. We use ours a couple times a day at least and even though it is 2 years old we haven't had to replace the battery yet. Very accurate, though I know there are some that are better (the food grade ones - might try restaurant supply places).

sorry I can't be more help on sources, but you might get more responses putting this in general discussion - I agree - hard to know where to put it - I saw it the other night and meant to respond - then couldn't recall which forum it was in!

good luck finding one,

mary v.

i ordered my Raytek from the states and paid $200 with duty and shipping, but there is a model that you can get at Diverisfied electronics in Toronto, its the same as Raytek but is grey and yellow and retails for $118 with taxes and has a lazer pointer, hope this helps

For an easy to use temp gun, check out www.proexotics.com. I have ordered from them, they were very friendly, and no doubt would gladly ship to you. At $25 US you can't go wrong. :)
