Hi i got this snake and i want to know what it is can you help

Im no snake guy but it looks like a spotted python or a childrens python...Im sure someone here could give you a definite answer.

But hey...it is a good snake none the less to have. A small Python and fairly easy to keep..Good luck with it Man and ya that snake will not need a Big cage at all it looks like it is an Adult if not it is just a year away....If I am wrong Some one will correct me LOL but I would dare to say a 25-30 Gallon would be more then big enugh to keep it in for the rest of its life....That is one of the snakes that is not the Stereotype Python it has the Python name but dont get verry much biger then a corn Snake.. LOL ..

It may have looked like they were mistreating it, but if you know nothing about it, then how do you know they were mistreating it?

And as hard as it is, even if they ARE mistreating their animals, you shouldn't buy it from them, because they will just get more snakes in, and mistreat them. Belive me, there are WAY TO many mistreated reptiles in pet shops to be buying them all.

Anyways, have fun, if they were mistreating it, take it to a vet, and wash your hands before and after handling it, just in case it is sick and transfers something to your other snakes.

Sweet - glad you straightened that out - I was initially going to ID it as a bread-burrower. Make sure always to use full loaves, avoid whole wheat and high grain and you should be golden.
