i got the temps somewhat better, just need some ideas on how to make them perfect.

If you look at the pic below, the outside box is the whole cage and the inside box is the heating pad.

Now as for the temps, the heating pad is on a dimmer and the temp is at 88 degrees anywhere on the heating pad, now if i measure the temp to the left, top or bottom of the heating pad the temp goes down to 78-80 degrees and on the right it starts to go down slowly as it is getting closer to the cooler side which is 73 degrees.

How can i get the whole hot side to be approx 88 degrees?

Thanks in advance.

Nick

Don't worry about it. As long as the gecko has access to the warmer spot(s), and can move around to cooler spots, you've got it all covered. I don't even think it's possible to get the UTH the same temperature over it's entire surface. There always seem to be areas where it's a bit lower, usually around the outside edges of the UTH. The warm spot just has to be big enough for the gecko to lie on comfortably and any extra is great.

Yeah I give my girl a hot spot of 88, the rest gradually goes down to room temp all the way on the other side of the enclosure. She is doing fine! :)
