waiting for the ferry and have nothing to do so i thought i would share what plants i use in my cages. Also wondering what types other people use and how it looks.
anyway i have been experimenting with different plants in my larger day gecko cage.
here is what is growing (established and growing, not counting the many i have killed) in there today.
creeping fig, weeping fig, african violet, aloevera, 2 types of vine phildenderon (no idea what type), some sort of variegated bamboo, wisteria, western maple, rabits foot fern, dracaena (wide leaf type?)christmas cactus, date palm, another larger type of palm, kalanchoe sp, and a few wierd grocery store plants kickin around on the bottom.
I have been trying for about 5 years to get some arbutus growing but i just cant get the damn things to adapt. Even seeds kicked it. cant seem to get moss to work either :grumps: Im going to stop trying to grow it in a tropical setup soon...maybe i'll give it a whirl in a drier setup, add some green to them boring desert cages:cool:
anywho im pretty interested to see what you all use in your cages and how it works with other plants.
