Macro cool-light SL-1

I took a few pics with my macro cool-light. It screws around the lens of my Nikon and emits a cool light. I can get closer without wahsing out the color with flash but you can see the lights in the eyes of the snake. He also has a water mark on his head. What do you guys think of these pics???

I am having trouble with the white balance while using this light. It casts a bluish tone over the pics. This pic taken without flash shows this IJ's true color...
