Hi All,
Just wanted to post a couple of pics of my rack system and incubators that Phil made (retic).
They all are absolutely terrific units, and I couldn't be any happier with them. Phil did a great job! He built me exactly what I said I wanted, to the T! Unbelievable. :)

Breeding rack is in the centre, and on the left and right of that you have the hatchling racks that hold 33 containers each. The breeder rack holds 27, 7US gallon containers.

A better view of the hatchling and breeder rack:

Incubators:

The incubators got a few strips of heat tape on the bottom along with a fan that allows for air circulation and helps in eliminating "hot" spots.
Great units, they work absolutely phenomenal.

Many of these rack and incubator units were done here at our place, while some were built at his place. Therefore Phil is very flexible on where the units can be built!

I'd highly recommend him, he's very honest, reliable, and amazingly talented at this! Not to mention he's fast as well :)

Thanks a million Phil, we greatly appreciate it! (Will need more units in the summer by the way...lol)

Hope you enjoyed,
-Sam

Well done. Very nice. I like the uniformity.
How are heating them. Where is the heat tape placed on the breeder rack? Are the thermostats heating 3 shelves each? How did he wire the heat tape between shelves. Did he just continue the circuit with more wire at the end of each shelf filtered down to the next shelf?

Thanks
Brian

Wow Sam, those racks look really really good. Phil did an excellent job on it.

Do you have a close up shot of the thermometer and rheostat?

Thanks for the compliments guys :)

Brian, 4" heat tape is run on each level of all the racks, providing our geckos with belly heat.
The rheostats are controlling 3 shelves each in the breeder rack. On the hatchling racks the top rheostat controls the first 3 shelves, the second one the next 3, and the last rheostat controls the next 5. Works very well.
As for how he did the wiring and all that, he'd have to get back to you on that, as I am not sure :)

Edwin, here are a couple pics of the thermometer/rheostat, and the heat tape/fan, on the bottom of the incubators.

I don't currently have any pics of the thermometers/rheostats on the racks, only on the incubators (pics above) but will take some pics of them shortly.

Brian (asphyxia) his contact info is: mystic_lady_rose@sympatico.ca

or you can find him here on this forum under "retic"

Thanks for the pics Sam, it looks great. Phil put a lot of care into his work, the thermometer is sunken in instead of just stuck on... very nice!

Very, very nice work. Definately a market for this type of product - wish there was someone out here in western Canada who could produce those to order!

I heard about your rack, and now that I can see it, it's beautiful. Phil does some really nice work. He built me an incubator which is now housing some BP eggs. So far, so good.

Mary - Ever seen what Greg West can do? He and Phil are both absolute craftsmen. I'm working on it... I'll get there as soon as I have a workshop. :D

Thanks Mykee. I'm very pleased with Phil's work as well. My reptiles love it, and the eggs are doing great in the incubator. No complaints here :)
