Well after my male bp shed, passed a urate and.....left some "Lovely" sperm plugs for me to clean up. He was acting funny, so after cleaning his cage, I figured why not, I hadn't offered him anything in about a month, and if he refueses oh well, I got plenty left.

I figured I would offer him something smaller than he would have normally been offered. So a small rat, heated it up. And offered it to him, he took it! Not a HUGE meal, but it's something. He hasn't lost ANY weight since his fast, so no worries! I was SO relieved and happy.

Thing is, I don't know if it's because he shed, and pee'd, or because we changed cages on him, we have him in a 34"x16 3/8"x6" (LxWxH) sterilite container (credited to mykee for pushing it, and marisa I believe for the cereal box idea, he fits PERFECTLY)

AND MORE good news! Our little female bp that weighed in at ONE pound last time we checked (a little over 2 months ago) now weighs TWO pounds, has ate 2 live mice, and 4 small rats! And is in shed RIGHT now.

Now the PLAN (Like those ever work) is to keep them eating!

Thanks for listening, the patience, the advice and the kindness everyone that has ever replied or helped me in any way!

It is my personal opinion that people often overreact when ball pythons go off feed. For a large number of them, its a part of life. So long as they are maintaining a stable weight, I do not worry about it at all. They will eat when they want to! :)

got that right, I walked by his cage last night and his head whipped around and followed me, so I went ahead and gave him a medium sized rat. He has never struck so hard before! I have only sm/md rats in the freezer so I'll have to feed him 2 at a time. But thats ok, as long as he's eating. lol
