cage system heating

hey

i have an idea for heating mutliple cages in one unit. This will save alot of energy and money for heat lamps and bulbs if it will work too. What i was thinking (going to be hard to explain) is have 3 levels connected together. EAch level has a vent that is connected to the back. The ven is connected to a box filled with water. I will have a water heater in it to provide heat. I know the water being heated will creat a lot of moisture, so i will leave the top open for the condensation to leave. What i am wondering is if the heat from the heated water going through the vents and into the cages, will it be enough heat and will their be to much moisture???

I think the water would need to be at a lower point then the rest of the cages. You would have a much harder time forceing warm air down then you would haveing it naturally rise up. Also the water would have to be pretty warm as well wouldn't it?

You need to convert that word file into a picture file such as a .gif or .jpeg.

yes the water would be heated using a water heater.

What about a long heat pad under the back side of the 3 tanks?

I have done a 3 level, 4 feet long with ONE 150Watts roof de-icing cable (30feet folded in 2 so I have 2 stripe) hooked on a thermostat

it get VERY easily up to 95F as hot spot and I have one level with
3 enclosure, one with 4 and one with 5

22 gecko "could" get in there :P
