Sav cage

Hi im sorry if this amy be a exhauted topic but im in desperate need of a few plans for a cage fora savannah monitor......money isnt really an option....but id like to keep it as cheap as possible.This will be a full grown savannah monitor.Any links or pictures or anything you may have would be appreciated......Thank you

I have pics of my sav tank in my gallary...i used melamine with a top opening lid and latches to keep it locked. So far its working amazing...

I would also suggest someothing that opens from the top because for a front sliding, the crix and things could get out easily..

well well well i did not see your 2 and 3rd page before....lol....I like that idea alot, wat did u do for that front window?(glass or plexi on a track?)

still plenty of room for more opinions everybody.

i did one really cheap and fast, but is a CRAP display cage. buy 5 full sheets of wood (8x4) Cut one in half, one peice for each end. The other 3 sheets will serve as top/back/bottom/front. you should also support the corners, i used 2x2. You now have a cage 8x4x4 cage. I put the top on hinges and cut some holes and added vents, then just screwed in lights and added tons of dirt. I sold my monitor right when i finished the cage, so i used the wood for other projects.

Best monitor cage I know of is a live stock water trough. They are steel or plastic, depending on manufacturer, hold a ton of dirt without fear of the cage "blowing a seam" or collapsing, are already waterproof, and stand up very well to digging.
