I have posted a thread about this guy on the breeding forum, but thought I would put it here too as I got a new photo this weekend - it has been several weeks since his last session with the female - and he came out of that one with this bend in his spinal column - has not resolved yet at all - seems very tense and the line of the spinal column is twisted first one way - then the other.

The other thread with more details is at http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41988 . Never did see any activity that would have resulted in this other than his intense twisting and turning.

I moved him out of the snake room and into a clean tub this weekend as per Roy's advice - will keep posted on whether he recovers but I am not optomistic. The movement in his back end seems weaker than normal today and I think there is some muscle wasting at the area where the bends are,

That's a strange story, Mary. I hope he comes out of it ok in the end... :(

I'm sure you'll keep us posted. :)

You know Mary. We had a cal king do that very thing. After a few months, the "kinks" relaxed. They appeared to be muscular. Not too long after they relaxed. Another set appeared in the opposing direction.

Not too sure what happened to him. We traded him off (to a person aware of his problem). Lost contact.

Didn't stop the poor bugger. Ate no problem.
