I got her from A local pet shop that I trust fairly well, She is the trouble feeder of the litter at 3 months old now she eats the least of all of them. And she is by far the tamest of them too, she isn't head shy at all I can pick substrate off of her eye if I need to and she doesn't even flinch.

Hey Jeff since I have your attention :) they both have been reluctant to feed on anything pre killed, my ntt in my cage drops close to 72f background 78f hot side and 92f basking I was thinking that the low background temps might make them think winter was comming and to slow eating? should I get a ceramic heat emitter instead of a lamp to keep the cage steady all night ?

Tough to say about the "hibernation" thing man. Can I let you in on a little secret? They don't really stop eating. Ever. You can feed even the adults through the winter months (provided they have access to 85F+). They'll still breed too!!

As for your little beauty, I would invest in an Under-the-tank-Heater (UTH) for sure. Just get a drug store heat pad if you have too (Sunbeam $18 CDN so like 50 cents American). And make sure your humidity is up!! They also stop eating if the humidity is too low (below 80%). Other than that, just leave fuzzy mice in over night and that should be it. Mine will nab 3 per week for the first 3 weeks of their life and then they are onto adult mice and there's no looking back. Now the first couple of feedings, they probably won't constrict and just strike like crazy. I've found that if I let them think that the strike has actually killed the fuzzy, it'll be gone in the morning. 9 times out of 10, it'll be gone anyways, but this seems to work everytime. By the time they are onto adult mice, they are into a strike and constrict procedure.

Yea those temps are my air temps, the tank is heated by a UTH, but It has to work through that substrate, I use eco earth. I'm switching it to news print tommorow or paper towel, so I can trust them to eat over night without chewing on a mouthful of substrate. How often do you change the news print? Just every time the snake makes a mess? More often because of the high humidity or bacteria. Thanks again.

Very nice, she's got beautiful crescents!

The basking temp of 92 is fine for a ball, but tooo high for brb's. They enjoy cooler temps, a basking spot of 85 is good. They do not tolerate high temperatures very well. A 75-85 gradient works best for them. I would defintiely suspect temperatures in this case, since brb's are notorious for being voracious feeders - they don't refuse meals without a reason*

Really? Both of my Brazilians and my corn dont seem to be aware of the camera. The just keep going as if I wasn't doing anything.

She isn't so tiny any more :) Regular feedings really perked this girl up fast. She isn't as big as her sister but she is sure trying to catch up!
