So ive decided to go through with the trade i was offered for my sand boa...Im getting an albino female cornsnake baby this sunday. I cant wait, im so excited and already thinking about getting her a mate. I know their still to young (he said a year until breeding so its not really a baby - about 18 inches long) so im thinking to pick on up from the show

only questions quickly are, do corns usually pair up easily...my lucky with pairing my geckos together hasnt been really good. Will their be a chance they will fight eachother or anyhting? And another question..can they be kept, during breeding, in a 35 gallon aquarium. Thanks!

oh and one more thing..i was planning on keeping it on towl paper for the first couple weeks or until it ate and this way i wouldnt have to take it out to feed somewhere else...i want to lessen the handling as much as possible...after that do you think i should stick with towel paper or use aspen shavings like ive seen some people using...

Is mulch okay also?

During breeding a 35 gallon tank is plenty big enough, as for fighting I wouldn't really worry much about it, and for paper towel bedding, it's my first choice, I keep all my snakes on paper towel!, Good luck bud!

Is it ok to keep them together in that tank all year round, or like any species is it just better to keep them seperated?

alot of people will keep corns together all the time, I personally wouldn't. but as long as you seperate them for feeding and there clean animals then most likely it would be fine, again though my preferance would be to house them seperatly.... Good luck bud!

Corn snake Manual will answer all your husbandry and breeding questions. It's one of the best books from that series. I highly recomend it.
