I was reading about rocks and it said temps 78 - 80F 88 - 92F basking and 73 F night also i didnt find anything about humidity could someone let me know what it would be. just was wondering
I believe anywhere around 50% is usually good and a little higher when shedding. So around 60-65 during shed.

thanks alot i couldnt find humidity anywhere.
Humidity is a weird thing on rocks in my oppinion ..... again on my observations..
I often just decide humidity on their natural habitat and not care sheets.. so some rocks live in fairly dry places and others in old burrows with high humidity .. i tried bith set ups.. one on sand for over a year .. alwasy had perfect shed.. and one on dirt that is regularrly misted and still had the perfect sheds ...
Pesonally .. I don't mesure humidity .. simply spray occasionally and it does the trick .. My girl is just 3 now and a lil over 100 pounds.. still shedding like a queen and getting ready to lay eggs around the 28th of may .. so this method has worke for my animal.. see what works for yours..

Dom, what's the size on her at 3?
I have worked with Rocks.....But I have no records of the humifity for the ones I worked with. But a good friend of mine once told me. Research the area where they come from. Mimic it and there you go lol.
Well Dom already said it lol
Hey .. shes already 12 feet .. over 100 pouns did not weight her in too long and the nastiest snake ever..
Thats why i love her! .. Shes taking down about 20 - 30 pounds of goats a meal

Sweet! Did she turn nasty or was she like that from the start? So far (and admittedly 4.5' isnt very far) our lil girl hasn't pulled anything meaner than crapping on the kitchen floor - but she gets a good bit of interaction and we're hoping she keeps her demeanor.

Our rock python has a large tub for soaking, which also helps with the humidity. We mist her when she is in shed, and every time it rains outside or otherwise the baromeric pressure drops. She always sheds in one piece, so to me she seems to be in good health. She is well over 12 feet, and we havent weighed her in a long time. She is not the cuddly type! In fact, the day we got her as a baby, she tried to eat me. Since then, it has been trap box for any kind of cleaning activity.
