Safe heat tape/dimmer setup????

I saw this and wondered if it's safe if you only have one piece of flexwatt heat tape.

Yup, you can put just 1 piece or 15, the dimmer with limit the power going to the heat tape regardless of how many pieces you have. You'll need to measure the temps with a thermometer though... :)

Looks good...it may be tough to fine tune the temp with only a few watts worth of draw. The typical dimmer is rated at 600 watts (I think).

yeap most are rated 600Watts., it take about 50% of the dimmer
worthless on the knob
