hypothetically speaking........what is a 66% albino female hatchling worth? Does it help if its full brother sibling was an albino? She is approx. 550 gms now.

I'm not sure on the price but her brother being an albino means nothing. Her parents were both hets and hetXhet breeding means each egg/offspring has....
a 25% chance of being albino,
a 50% chance of being het and
a 25% chance of being normal.
All of her siblings could be normal or albino... either way, she is a 66% poss het because she "looks" normal and she's from hetXhet breeding. :)

Yearling 66%? Well, I'd say yearling CB normals are worth $200, so maybe $450-550 for a 66%. Depends on the size. If it 1000g, then cool. But if its like 200g, well, that would make it worth way less. As 100% hets are going to be about $1000. I'd say 66%-ers (hatchlings) are worth $300 right now. $250 later on in the year.

It's not necessary that an albino was born in the clutch if you have trust in the breeder and his/her breeding stock being what he/she says it is. However, the visible het is reassuring that there wasn't a mix up or worse some where along the line. I bought a 66% het albino male once and the seller had a nice pic of the clutch coming out of the eggs in the hatching box. I could clearly pick my animal out and see the new hatched albino sibling also. Still not fool proof but very reassuring. Incidentally, that male did prove to be a het albino. The breeder could easily not have produced an albino sibling and my 66% could easily not have been a het without anything being amiss, just nice that it worked out.
