Your opinion about catmeat/food please

A lot of people have the opinion that catmeat is harmless and a complete meal for monitors. My opinion; it's specifical food for cats and no good for monitors.

Heard on another forum (Dutch) someone swearing his vet told him it was a perfect substitute...

Just can't believe it, someone facts or more specific information??

I find it crap, fed it my monitors occasionally (once a month) in the past but stopped. Now only rodents, chickens and peaces of meat/fisch sometimes.

I wouldn't do it.... Too much success is already based on a rodent diet. Why change it right? Not many vets really know whats going on anyways.

I guess in a worst case scenerio where you are completely flat out of rodents, but even then, a few days without food isn't going to harm the monitor....
