I had my hatchling savannah monitor for three hours and it escaped. My enclouser has sliding front glass doors with a display case lock on it. The doors were closed and locked the only way he could of got out was by squeezing in between the glass doors overlap I sifted through the substrate twice to make sure he hadn't burrowed and was stuck under the ground. I put a heat lamp over the carpet outside of his enclosure with a few crickets in a dish and some water hopefully he will show up soon:(

You'll be suprized what they can squeeze through. I've gone to calling my wifes savannah Houdini for escaping all the time. I spent many hours tearing the house apart looking for her. Don't give up hope, keep looking it could be anywhere. When you do find it and put it back in the enclosure, watch from a distance. You'll see how and where it's escaping from. Good luck.

Well I have had some luck today., I found a pile of poop in the bathroom and the bowl of crickets/silkworms is empty in the bedroom

Only herpers would describe finding a pile of poop 'lucky'!

But seriously, hope you track him down, man.

Some things you might want to try. Someone once said to sprinkle flower on the floor, the feet prints might give you an idea which way it went. What I have learned to do before I built the enclosure escape proof (so far lol) was to look around and see what it couldn't poosibly fit under and start looking there.
Keep us updated.

I am going to put down some tin foil in certain places and hope I here him. The flower idea would be great if I didn't have a cat. I don't think the cat has got it because I haven't seen and body fluid stains anywhere yet(fingers crossed). Hope I find him soon.

wow, that really sucks that he got out...i'm trying to think of some ways you could trap him...i would try to coax him in with a very warm basking spot and food like a live pinkie mouse in the bathroom or something. perhaps have the door slightly open but something to keep it just bairly open so kitty can't push it open. i find my monitor coming out more in the morning and afternoon, so check on it around then.
can't think of any thing right now but keep trying things, really hope you find him.

He's back my neighbour came over She had found him in her bathroom. Luckly she's a herper too or else it probabley would have gotten a broom or a shoe. I picked up a temporary home for him till I have time to watch where he's getting out.
